Brigant is a big, fat troll of indeterminate gender, found in Buccaneer's Den during Ultima IV.

The Stranger could meet Brigant lurking around the eastern edge of Buccaneer's Den, behind the building. The hero would find the troll to be quite rude, having a tendency to curtly end conversations, and apparently waiting for the slightest excuse to get into a fight. When asked about its job, Brigant would tell the Stranger to "buzz off!" and even met polite inquiries about its current state of health with suggestions that the hero "shove it!" asking the persistent adventurer if it was making itself clear. Eventually, should the hero not leave Brigant in peace, the troll would attack in an unprovoked fit of rage. In all likelihood, one overweight troll would not prove nearly a match for the hero, and Brigant would meet its end at the Stranger's blade. No one else in town seemed to know anything about this belligerent individual, and it appeared as if none would miss its presence.
