Barny is a child near Paws in Ultima IX.

The Avatar found Barny trapped within his family's burning farmhouse as he traveled towards Paws. If the Avatar chose to douse the flames, he could rescue Barny from his fiery fate. The grateful Barny, once rescued, told how his family's farm had been attacked by the brigand Tristan, who had killed his father and kidnapped his mother Wilma. Barny begged the Avatar to rescue his mother, who was being held in the mountains to the northeast.[1]
