Adranath was once the head of the Lore Council in Anjur, and was old at the time of the cataclysm.

Description

After the merging of the worlds, Adranath was resurrected by his twisted disciple, Kavah. He became the Lord of Necromancers, an immortal demon and servant of the Malevolence. Although he was defeated in the First Necromancer War, the spirit of Adranath lingered on Sosaria. Even as a spectre, Adranath managed to create the Bloodstone, an artifact which would have raised all of the dead throughout Sosaria under the control of Adranath himself. He was defeated by Auric, who would go on to form the Shadow Hunters, and a band of Sosarian heroes. Although his soul was finally banished to the Abyss, the curse of Necromancy remains in the world.

Trivia

• An animated movie was originally planned as a tie-in to Ultima Online 2. The plot of this movie would have involved Auric, Kabur, Dasha, Kasim, and Eris defeating Adranath and destroying the Bloodstone.

• An action figure of him was actually made, but quickly rebranded when the project was dropped.
