Chief Guard Wilmoore: "I see. That's a shame. I guess after he lost his job he fell into despair. Ryan won't be welcome in Paws anymore, but we'll be sure to look after Kristin. Thanks for getting to the bottom of this, Stranger."
You: "We aren't done yet, Ryan is still out there."
Chief Guard Wilmoore: "Aye you're right, we have a responsibility to the townfolk to demand justice. I have no right to ask, but do you think you could convince to Ryan turn himself in?"
You: "Can't you send some guards?" (Story)
Chief Guard Wilmoore: "We're not an army, Stranger. We're just a farming town and all our guards are needed here."
You: "Where can I find him?" (Story)
Chief Guard Wilmoore: "He is in the High Hills. It's a bandit hideout filled to the brim with outlaws and vagabonds. It's just north of Castle Britannia."
You: "It's worth a shot, I'll do it." (Accept Quest)
Chief Guard Wilmoore: "Thank you, Stranger. I hope he comes quietly. If not, well, protect yourself, Stranger."
You: "I'll do my best. Farewell."

Trivia[edit]
- Despite being asked to convince Ryan to surrender, you never have the opportunity to speak to him
- It is unknown whether Ryan was brainwashed by Recruiter Markin or if he really did fall in with the High Hills bandits willingly
- Even after exposing her secret and slaying her husband, you cannot speak to Kristin about the events and she will continue to offer the Shroom it Out quest
