[You find a rather grotesque corpse. It seems like it's been dead for quite some time. It was probably left out as a warning. Perhaps one of the townsfolk might know more.]

Sir Hobie: "I'd like to say that things are just fine here, but Britannia has left us privy-bound with not a scrap of paper to be found."
You: "What's the greatest threat to Paws right now?" (Story)
Sir Hobie: "Strange things have been happening, Stranger. Folk going missing, bumps in the night. Some people have taken to barring their doors and windows. Nobody dares go out in at night."
You: "Any idea what's causing this?"
Sir Hobie: "Beats me, Stranger. I can't round up anyone to find out either, the whole town is petrified."
You: "I don't blame them; endure the best you can for now."
You: "What's up with that dead guy over by the woods?"
Sir Hobie: "Oh you mean the bandit? A lone one wandered here through the woods a little while back. He was looking pretty foul, green and purple much all over him. He wouldn't listen so we had to stick him. Why do you ask?"
You: "Are you sure it wasn't a Weeper? The town could be in jeopardy." (Advance Quest)
Sir Hobie: "Listen here, there's no Weep around these parts so don't get started on that, it was just a bandit. We don't have enough manpower to go out on a hunch. So if you're so worried about it, I suggest you go figure it out."
You: "It seems I have no choice. Farewell."

Sir Hobie: "Stranger! I don't know how to thank you. Without you, we'd all be dead. I... thank our lost Lord you were here. You've done a great service here. I'm sorry if I was hard on you before."
