This article is about a set of homogeneous guards appearing in Castle Britannia. For other uses, see Treasury guard (disambiguation).
Several guards protect the treasury of Castle Britannia during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
These guards were men of few words, interested only in protecting their sovereign's riches. Should the Stranger inquire about the treasure that they stood watch over, they would grow suspicious, asking if the hero intended to steal it and advised a quick departure.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (where most character names were omitted and dialogue was significantly modified), these guards can be identified as two characters in the same room: a single beardless mage who uses even more complicated words (the original ones said "unfruitful venture"), and a guard who was removed from the English localization.[2]
