Deprecated: it is still in use, but future code should use Template:NameFormat/ShortLongItalicizedConditionallyLinked which will process both short and long names.
Template that expects input to be a short, plain (not linked nor italicized and no special character) name ("Ultima IV" and not "Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar"). The returned value will be linked, italicized and embedded with s where necessary, if the input is recognized. Otherwise, the return will only be italicized and linked.
This template should probably only be nested in other templates. It maybe useful for template fields which are typically formatted with a certain type of input.
