Template:ELink

Use this template to format external links. This links should be in a listing, such as those that appear in the "External Links" sections of articles, rather than mid-sentence of the essay portions of articles.

Usage

Parameters:

• url: the URL of the link
• preLink/postLink: (optional) just in case you want to surround the link text with something, like quotes
• linkText: the text that forms the link. Can be formatted
• medium: (optional) a brief notation about the medium which is linked, such as “PDF” or “YouTube”. Note that the template will treat some media specially. For instance “Wikipedia” will cause url to be just the name of the Wikpedia article instead of a URL.
• postText: (optional) the text following the link, usually giving a more in-depth description than what linkText provides
