Fighters Apple II[edit]

AttackedbyFightersAppleIIU3.png

On the Apple II version of Ultima 3 I've been attacked by Fighters (just like the other monsters (incl. wizards) while walking to the southern part of Sosaria. In which category should do be included? Monsters, right? --Arthgon (talk) 20:15, 17 November 2016 (UTC)

Why the change?[edit]

I just wondering what the reason was to change it? (Land/Sea Monsters) I'm not sure if it now look any better (and it was actually really hard (and it took a long time for me to get it right), to get to combine the NES version like that). Oh. Are you really sure that the Level 11+ thing exists at all? Because I really could not find any evidence that THAT level actually exists. Edit: Are you also even sure that the Pirates are 5+? --Arthgon (talk) 18:38, 18 November 2016 (UTC)

MSX Disk Version[edit]

As far I can remember the Disk Version of the MSX version of U3 is a port of the PC-88/98 games. Should not this come AFTER the PC-88 and PC 98 version? --Arthgon (talk) 10:50, 19 November 2016 (UTC)

Hit Points question and wondering about the XP for the Balron/Devil for the NES?[edit]

1) If I may ask, but how/where did you get the HP of all the monsters of the NES version? The NES Hintbook gives only the first HP and not several versions (example: Daemon: HP 180). The Pirate has HP: 128.

2) Where did you get the 15 XP for the Balron/Devil? The Hintbook AND the game says that you'll get 20 XP if you've slain them. (strangely enough the FM-Towns version gives 22 XP for killing the Balron)

3) Strange. The Gargoyles/Manes/Daemons gets 8 XP in the NES game, but the Hintbook says it is 10 XP. Oops. --Arthgon (talk) 13:23, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Balron, damage spells, Jester and some other questions.[edit]

1) As far I can remember used the Balron in the other versions the Poison Spell. a) I'm not sure what the SPL in STR: SPL- A is for the Balron on the NES Version. Repeatedly hurl their poisonous bolts of magic counts as what? It has Poison Spell (right word for the attack?) in other versions. If you know what I mean.

2) Was not there a Jester in Ambrosia that will attack you?

3) There are monsters who also use the Damage Spell. (or whatever it is called) What is the best way to use it with all?

4) a) Is the HP maybe for the Pirate Ship and NOT for the Pirate (They will appear as thieves in combat in other versions than the NES) itself? --Arthgon (talk) 18:54, 19 November 2016 (UTC)

Guards XP NES[edit]

Okay. The Blue Guards on the NES gives 8 XP and the Red Guards (called Dishonest Guards in the NES Hintbook) gives 15 XP. Shall try to fit this in the best way. --Arthgon (talk) 15:56, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Speed EGA monsters/NPC?[edit]

I was wondering if the speed of the creatures are not a bit too fast. Yes. It can be caused by being played on a fast computer. Is this the right speed or should it be a bit slower? --Arthgon (talk) 04:57, 11 December 2016 (MST)

Unused Pincher Enemy NES Version[edit]

Pinchers exist in the game data of the NES version though cannot be encountered. Their stats are (I believe) the same as the bradle and snatch, here is the sprites of one. https://imgur.com/g3oL7bx Not sure if it should get a mention or not.

Things that need explained[edit]

I would have put footnotes for these, but I didn't know what they meant:

  • MP
  • Background colours
  • A/SPL-A

Ideas for space saving[edit]

This article looks pretty good on my wide screen here--magnificent really--but not so good on a small screen; it's way too wide. I have some ideas to save horizontal space:

  • Eliminate the sorting header. We don't use it very often, I don't see why a reader would want it here, and it's taking up precious pixels.
  • Break up the tables by platform. I'm of the mind that when a reader looks up an article, it's not to get a broad range of platforms, so I don't see why we should cover all platforms in one article. I'd make articles for different categories of platforms, such as N. American desktops (PC, Apple, C64), Japanese desktops (MSX2, FM Towns, etc.) and game consoles.
