Brother of Richard Garriott and co-founder of Origin Systems. He coined the slogan "We Create Worlds".[1]

- Lord Robert: It seems likely that Robert lends his name to Lord Robert, the ruler of Empath Abbey in Ultima IV. Lord Robert's lady, Marcy, also shares a name with Robert Garriott's wife.
