Red the Pirate is a buccaneer found behind a locked door leading to the docks of Pirates Harbour in Ultima II.
Description[edit]
This software pirate attempted to sell the Stranger a broken copy of Ultima III.[1] However, the hero would ultimately slay this man to reach the ships docked in the nearby harbor, thus gaining access to the rocket launch pads and bypassing their guards, who would prove unable to cause harm while a space rocket was boarded and launched.
Trivia[edit]
- If the Stranger slays Red the Pirate (instead of The Village Idiot), the guards can be hit by the powerful cannon fire of any ship in the harbor, or simply left behind while the Stranger navigates around the wall to the still-locked rocket launch pads.
- The Stranger (now the Avatar) again encounters a software pirate, Captain Stokes, at the House of Wares in Ultima VII Part Two.
