Max is the proprietor of the Market in Paws during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
Like most shopkeepers of the era, Max was a man with little to say outside of the concerns of his business. At the time of the Stranger's passage through Paws, Damsel a frequent customer, spoke well of his establishment.
Trivia[edit]
- In a document discovered by historians Robert de Main and Carlotta Stein which purports to be the Stranger's personal diary, Max is described as a tall, thin, jovial man in a white apron.[1]
- In the Nintendo-port of Ultima IV, Max is replaced with an unnamed mage who laments his inability to cast the Reflect spell, due to the high cost of reagents.[2]
