Halawa is the strong leader of the Barako Tribe in Savage Empire.

Description[edit]

When the Avatar met Halawa, she was devastated by the kidnapping of her daughter Halisa by a giant silverback gorilla. She told the Avatar how none of her warriors had been able to scale the sheer cliffs to reach the gorilla, and she was sure after awhile the gorilla would throw her daughter from the cliffs. Halawa agreed to unite the tribes if the Avatar could bring her daughter home, and after Halisa's rescue, Halawa agreed to unite against the Myrmidex menace. The chieftain was further willing to tell the hero about the Pindiro Tribe, who lived on the northern plains, and the mad shaman Topuru, who lived on a small island in a lake to the west.[1]

Lore[edit]

The queen of the Barako, Halawa, rules in her own right. She's the Eodon equivalent of today's single mother and businesswoman. Ask her about her daughter (she has a mother's pride in her child), and about uniting the tribes.
