William is a small child living in Moonglow during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
William could be found at the Sage Deli in the midst of enjoying a sandwich of peanut butter and grape jelly on lightly toasted bread, which he was kindly willing to share with the Stranger. Should the Stranger have spoken to the young boy's friend Christen, the hero would have learned that William knew the location of the rune of Honesty, and if asked, would reveal the artifact lay near to Mariah's chest of gold.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (where most character names were omitted and dialogue was significantly modified), William can be identified with the girl outside the same building, who reveals the location of the rune, saying that it is "three steps south". This later reveals to be a location three paces south of an abnormal piece of pavement on a field in the northeastern part of town.[2] As Julia/Julius demonstrates, the gender shift is irrelevant for identification.
