Urgh, this huge thing looks butt-ugly and wastes space. Plase remove it.--Tribun 14:36, 18 March 2011 (PDT)
- I like it, personally. --polygoncount (Polygon Dragon -==(UDIC)==-) 14:40, 18 March 2011 (PDT)
- Same here, I like the developments so far. Curious to see how it looks with multiple lore quotes, but that example there certainly looks sharp. --Terilem 15:02, 18 March 2011 (PDT)
- And for me it is just a useless distraction which screws up formatting with multiple lorequotes.--Tribun 15:16, 18 March 2011 (PDT)
- Having now previewed how it looks on a substantial Lore section, I hardly think it "screws up" the formatting. As a matter of fact, I think the legibility benefits from the new spacing. In the end, though, it's really not that huge a difference. --Terilem 15:26, 18 March 2011 (PDT)
- It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! --Warder Dragon 15:47, 18 March 2011 (PDT)

Ok, seriously, why do you people like this monstrosity?--Tribun 15:52, 18 March 2011 (PDT)
- ... Because we think it actually looks good? Are you implying, due to the fact that our personal preference does not match your own, our opinions are somehow invalid? --Terilem 16:07, 18 March 2011 (PDT)
- No, I just can't understand what's so great about it. I only heard "it looks good", but not why it is supposed to look good.--Tribun 16:37, 18 March 2011 (PDT)
- As I said, it seems to simply be a matter of preference. I personally like the visual impact of the quotation marks. These, along with the new spacing, provide a more defined separation of the lore quotes and make the whole section look just that little bit neater. This is also how quotes are commonly formatted on Wikipedia, which I don't mind at all. --Terilem 16:53, 18 March 2011 (PDT)

- Wow, I didn't think this would spark such debate. So, clearly I like it cuz otherwise I wouldn't have made it. :) I think it more clearly demarcates a quote and is more aesthetically pleasing than just a lump of italicized text. Also how the 'from' section currently is on the left has always bugged me and I much prefer it on the right. Also, if it was working correctly, large quotes wouldn't take up the whole line which would further separate it from the surrounding text.
- And please don't tell me to remove something from my userspace that isn't effecting the main wiki at all, isn't against any wiki policies and isn't offensive. Feel free to tell me it shouldn't be rolled to the LoreQuote template but this userspace is mine to play in as I see fit (as yours is yours.) -- Fenyx4 21:13, 18 March 2011 (PDT)
- I, too, like the way it makes the LoreQuote section "special." I've seen this used elsewhere on another wiki (though probably before the stupid style changeover that forced us here from the old Editable Codex), and remember wondering how we could make use of it here. Tribun, I seriously don't think it's going to screw anything up so badly. It looks slick and more "pro" if you ask me.--polygoncount (Polygon Dragon -==(UDIC)==-) 22:22, 18 March 2011 (PDT)
I never wanted it to be removed from your sandbox, I don't like the idea of it being pasted into all quotes. I find it destracting and annoying. It rubs me the wrong way. That's my personal opinion.--Tribun 05:01, 19 March 2011 (PDT)
- Sorry, I must have misunderstood when you said to "remove it".
- I've fixed it so the large quotes will no longer take up the whole line.
- Once I saw it in use I didn't like how the centering looked with multiple quotes. So I changed it from centering to having an indent. I made being centered an option for those special quotes you want to stand out boldly on a page all by themselves.
- I don't have anymore changes to make to it.
- @Polygon: Yeah, it is pretty heavily inspired by stuff I was seeing on other wikis. :) -- Fenyx4 08:33, 19 March 2011 (PDT)
- Damn... while I adore the 'from' section being right-justified on single quotes, I have to admit it starts to look odd with multiple quotes when some aren't long enough to reach the full column width. It scatters the book titles all over the place and throws off an otherwise very neat looking layout. I'm not sure how this could be avoided other than returning it to the left-hand side :( --Terilem 08:56, 19 March 2011 (PDT)
- Blarg, yeah I have to agree. I changed it from being right-justified to just being indented. Better? -- Fenyx4 09:58, 19 March 2011 (PDT)
- Yeah that's good. While I loved it on the right-hand side, indenting it still looks much better than full left. --Terilem 12:02, 19 March 2011 (PDT)
The whole thing looks pretty good to me. I approve. Dungy 10:07, 19 March 2011 (PDT)
