Topuru is the former shaman of the Urali Tribe in Savage Empire.
Description[edit]
Topuru used to be a powerful shaman, challenging the other shamans of Eodon to combat, but after an encounter with Balakai of the Barrab Tribe, he quite literally believed he lost his mind. After losing his mind, his apprentice Wamap kicked him from the tribe, and now he lived alone on a small island. Topuru would not tell the Avatar the location of the Urali tribe until his mind was restored.[1]
After speaking to Balakai the shaman of the Barrab Tribe, the Avatar learned that Topuru had merely been tricked into believing his mind had been placed into a simple blue stone, but that nothing had been taken from him. Balakai convinced the hero that any blue stone could be used to convince Topuru his mind was restored.[2] After restoring Topuru's mind, Topuru told the Avatar about the secret entrance to the Urali village in the mountains to the east, and gave him turtle food, which could be used to summon a rideable turtle in swamplands.
Lore[edit]
“ | There are some notable exiles of Urali extraction. But they are exiles: Don't expect to find them in Urali territory; they tend to live as hermits out in the Valley of Eodon proper. They include Topuru, a congenial madman who lives on a little island near the Barako tribe (talk to him about his mind, his friends the turtles, and the hidden Urali tribe), and Denys, a cave-painter (that's an artist, now, not the Paleolithic equivalent of a housepainter). |
