Ultima VII
Location: Moonglow

Tolemac is a farmer living in Moonglow during Ultima VII.

Description[edit]

At the time of the Avatar's adventures concerning the Black Gate, Tolemac was a new convert to the Fellowship, causing no shortage of friction with his brother, Cubolt. Having long chafed at his sibling's "overbearing" nature, the young farmer saw the philosophical organization as a means to assert his independence, while Cubolt railed against it as a dangerous cult and ardently wished his brother to leave. Morz, another farmer who lived and worked with the two brothers, was also drawn into this disagreement, torn between Tolemac's desire for him to join the Fellowship and Cubolt's admonitions against it.[1][2][3]

Should the Avatar speak to Cubolt at length, the worried man would implore the hero to speak to Tolemac in the hopes of getting him to leave what he considered to be a toxic organization. If the hero attempted this, however, Tolemac would resist, and would cut the conversation short, proclaiming that he would hear no more "lies."[4]

Lore[edit]

In addition to Rankin, Balayna and me, we have a fourth fellow, Tolemac, who recently joined us. He seems very happy, and contributes at almost every meeting. He is even working on another convert: Morz, a fellow farmer. I have no idea how that is coming along, but Tolemac's older brother — his name is Cubolt — strongly disapproves of all of us. I keep telling Tolemac to bring him to a meeting so we may all enlighten him, but Cubolt will have none of that!

Trivia[edit]

  • Balayna mentions overhearing the local branch leader, Rankin, expressing his doubts about the Fellowship to Tolemac, although Tolemac, himself, never mentions this.[5]
