Performs a similar function as Template:NameFormat/ShortLong, but will also allow for input data that is already linked (i.e. wrapped in double square brackets).
Despite the name, the input value does not need to be a short name (it can be "Ultima IV" or "Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar"). It can be linked, but it should not be italicized. The returned value will be italicized and embedded with s where necessary, if the input is recognized. Otherwise, the return will only be italicized.
This template should probably only be nested in other templates. It maybe useful for template fields which are typically formatted with a certain type of input.
