Talk:Ultima V walkthrough
My Scheme for the Walkthrough[edit]
I'd like to sort out the walkthrough as follows:
- Getting started: create a character, get to Britain
- The Companions
- From the start and the mainland
- From the islands (skiff needed)
- From the overseas (frigate needed)
- From the mountains (grapple needed)
- From the quests
- The Shrines of Virtue (it's good to upgrade as swoon as possible)
- Side Quests and Items (level up while collecting these)
- His Majesty's Ship Plans
- Free reagents and three more spells
- The Skull Keys
- The Sextant
- The Spyglass
- The Glass Sword
- The Sceptre (also, the grapple and the carpet are needed)
- The Crown (also, the black badge is needed; meet Saduj and Gorn)
- The Dungeons and the Underworld
- Dungeon Despise (meet Johne)
- Dungeon Hythloth (the Mystic Arms and the first Shard)
- Dungeon Deceit (the second Shard)
- Dungeon Covetous & Wrong (the third Shard)
- Dungeon Destard (the Amulet)
- Dungeon Shame & Doom

- Do what you think is best. I whipped this walkthrough together rather quickly to replace an absolutely terrible Ultima V Walkthrough which was here previously. Dungy 04:10, 11 May 2012 (PDT)
Lazarus portraits[edit]
Should we be using portraits from Lazarus in a walkthrough for the original U5? I understand the desire to spruce the page up, but the policy here has typically been to keep official and fan-made material as separate as possible. I think I'd rather see in-game screenshots from U5 like in the character articles. --Terilem 14:28, 17 May 2012 (PDT)
- I agree. They are gorgeous but I'm afraid they don't really belong here. We'll just have to make a Lazarus walkthrough. :) -- Fenyx4 17:58, 17 May 2012 (PDT)
- Thirded. Why are they all female anyway? ;) --Warder Dragon 00:56, 18 May 2012 (PDT)
- "Lazarus Part II : The Land Without Men! Blackthorn may have been defeated but before being banished he released a plague that killed all the men in Britannia. How will the Avatar and Lord British repopulate Britannia? Dun Dun Dun!" (Produced by Al Lowe) -- Fenyx4 05:34, 18 May 2012 (PDT)
- They're all female because I like girls. But they can be removed, I've got a life, after all ;-) --Abacos 06:43, 18 May 2012 (PDT)
- Well, let's put all the portraits in a Lazarus walkthrough. But I'm not going to get Dungeon Siege: three-dimensional videogames are not for me, I'm an old dog :-) --Abacos 10:09, 18 May 2012 (PDT)
Old Walkthrough[edit]
What to do with the old Walkthrough? It's a bit double. Deleting it perhaps? --Arthgon 04:20, 14 December 2012 (PST)
NES Version[edit]
As you may know there are several differences between the computer and the NES version of Ultima V. Shall I conclude this version with this Walkthrough (like what I did now) or is it much better to have one for the NES as well? --Arthgon 04:29, 14 December 2012 (PST)
What happened here?[edit]
Haven't been on the wiki much lately, but it seems this walkthrough has seen better days. What should we do here? Dungy 19:37, 6 January 2013 (PST)
- I have brought in more details and removed the old walkthrough at the bottom. --Arthgon 12:00, 7 January 2013 (PST)
- Seems only two sections are left to be added. I know how difficult that is to write, I did write several walkthroughs after all.--Tribun 12:02, 7 January 2013 (PST)
- OK, great. I was just making sure this walkthrough hadn't been abandoned half way through. I had written the previous walkthrough over an even worse one, so I didn't want anything left in a half-finished state. Dungy 12:24, 7 January 2013 (PST)
