Talk:Ships
In reference to your question, 95% of the time redirects are better than entirely deleting pages. This is a good example of when redirects are best. Someone might theoretically search for frigate, and this is where we want them to go. Dungy 13:26, 24 February 2013 (PST)
- Agree. Don't know why I even asked that question. I already wanted to redirect Frigate and One Mast Ship to Ships. Perhaps all the sea-farthing vessels should be here. --Arthgon 14:24, 24 February 2013 (PST)
One-mast ship?[edit]
Should not this article be about the two kinds of ships (frigate and one-mast ship) that is in Britannia? --Arthgon 04:27, 25 February 2013 (PST)
- There's no such thing as an one-mast ship. It's not a ship class, it's a fabricated name. Much of the information in the old article was speculation - refer to its talk page for more information. --Warder Dragon 05:42, 25 February 2013 (PST)
- Yeah, we shouldn't be re-introducing that. Looking at the one-mast ships discussion, there seems to have been consensus that all vessels in the series should just be treated generically as ships. --Terilem 06:06, 25 February 2013 (PST)
- I've read the discussion and I agree with the fact that one-mast ship does sound wrong. They've to be treated as just ships. --Arthgon 06:55, 25 February 2013 (PST)

How about this?[edit]
It's now an article about the history of ships in Britannia through all the ages. --Arthgon 06:36, 25 February 2013 (PST)
- Seems good, except the second paragraph in the Age of Armageddon. Most of that is copied from the speculation in the one-mast ship article. There is nothing suggesting that ships were made smaller because of money constraints - or that they are even smaller at all. Going entirely by their visual representation in game, they're much larger than the ships in U6. There's nothing that suggests they're not meant for rowing either. In fact, the only really relevant thing in that second paragraph is that the ships no longer carried cannons. --Warder Dragon 07:27, 25 February 2013 (PST)
- Don't worry. I was changing that part, when you wrote this post. --Arthgon 07:41, 25 February 2013 (PST)
Thanks[edit]
Thanks for changing one mast into single. I was about to do that, however I felt asleep. Oops. --Arthgon 05:24, 26 February 2013 (PST)
Pagan Question[edit]
Even though there are clues, the Avatar never came in contact with actual ships, right? I can only remember static skiffs. --Arthgon 14:20, 26 February 2013 (PST)
Ultima Online[edit]
I will include Ultima Online and its expansion. However, if someone has more knowledge and played them both; you are more than welcome to write it down.--Arthgon 14:21, 26 February 2013 (PST)
Raft?[edit]
Shall I bring this vessel in here as well? That's because a raft is a poor man's frigate. Not to mention most likely preceded the frigate, the ship who's featuring a single mast and no cannons for defense in the Age of Darkness et al. Maybe before the skiffs as well. --Arthgon 15:05, 6 March 2013 (PST)
