'Manda/'Manda Dee Confusion

Obviously this needs to be addressed in more detail to avoid further disputes. To the contributor responsible for this edit, evidence to support this assertion would be useful and appreciated in helping to clear this up. So far, it's just been hearsay.

For my side of things, these are the reasons behind why I made the change to the article:

• Firstly and probably most importantly, 'Manda is the wife of Jeff Dee. He himself refers to her by this distinctive name.

• She is credited as 'Manda Dee on the cover of TWERPS, seen here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:TWERPScover.jpg -- This demonstrates a precedent for her being named as such before Ultima VI and at a completely different company. That cannot be attributed to an error on Warren Spector's part.

• As for Origin titles other than Ultima VI, she is credited in the same fashion on Savage Empire, Martian Dreams and the cluebooks for both those games. Are we to believe the same mistake was made on three entire projects? Warren Spector didn't even have anything to do with Savage Empire!

• She is credited under the name Amanda Dee on Bad Blood and Windwalker—two other Origin titles—as an artist. I'm genuinely curious to know where the producer Amanda Dee comes from.

Nowadays 'Manda may very well go without a surname—that's not in dispute—but it seems evident that she still used it during her time at Origin. With that in mind, the notion of there being an Amanda Dee and a 'Manda Dee at the same company seems like a spectacular coincidence.

If there is compelling and demonstrable evidence as to why I'm wrong, then please present it here and I'll gladly eat my words. However, I'm sure you can see from the points above why I have come to this conclusion. --Terilem 12:47, January 31, 2010 (UTC)

Beyvin

"A year before the events of Ultima VI Beyvin was fatally stabbed in an altercation"

Unless I'm missing a source, this line seems pretty speculative. Penumbra is actually frustratingly ambiguous about the circumstances surrounding Beyvin's demise; she certainly doesn't specify when and how he was killed.

On a side note, The Avatar Adventures actually goes so far as to imply she was involved somehow. There is that bloodstained altar in her house, after all... --Terilem 01:24, 12 August 2011 (PDT)

The source that mentions this is The Book of Prophecy ("He's a descent sort, but passed away last year under unfortunate circumstances...") I changed the phrasing in the article to "in the year before" to better fit the word of the book, though.--Blu3vib3 10:03, 12 August 2011 (PDT)
