Profession "flavor text"[edit]
I might be wrong here, but is there a source for the description of the Ultima III professions next to each picture? Because much of it seems like pure speculation and fan-made flavor text, like what happened to the professions after Ultima III... or did I miss something? --Warder Dragon 09:17, August 31, 2010 (UTC)
- Don't look at me, I just added pictures and lore. However, maybe we should re-write the descriptions and add what these classes actually have as in-game abilities?--Tribun 14:10, August 31, 2010 (UTC)
- That would be my bad. I tried not to be too speculative, but the parts that pertain to weapons/armour/thievery/spell ability based on information from the U3 reference card. --Polygoncount 18:41, August 31, 2010 (UTC)
- No problem. :) I do think it is a bit too speculative, though. There's really no need to tie them into the more "modern" professions, especially since many of the older professions do live on. There are alchemists, barbarians and others in the later games as well, even if they're not explicitely labelled as such. I see where you were coming from when you wrote these, but it's likely best to stick to the facts in this occasion. Will you do the honors? --Warder Dragon 18:46, August 31, 2010 (UTC)
- Sure. --Polygoncount 18:48, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Profession Icons[edit]
Okay, so I changed up the icons to match what you normally see on the PC version of U3... now, strictly speaking, this is as correct as it gets; it was not until U4 that each class had its own representative image. HOWEVER: The Ultima I remake was released AFTER Ultima IV, and in the remake, there are rangers with icons that closely match the Ultima IV ones. So chronologically speaking, I could change the generic "stranger/avatar" icon used for rangers here to the U1 version. I'm not really sure if anyone cares or not, but I was just trying to break up the redundancy whilst being technically correct at the same time :) --Polygoncount 06:18, September 1, 2010 (UTC)
