Spell's function[edit]
Once again, I'm not sure how this spell works through the games, but I have the impression that Jinx and Mass Charm are different things, at least from the Lore Quotes. Jinx in U4 and U5 seem to be something that we could call "Confusion", where enemies fight among themselves. Mass Charm, on the other hand, puts the enemies under the caster's control; it doesn't appear to make them fight each other. Am I correct, or am I missing something here?
If I am correct, this article should be split in two... Jinx, for the U4 and U5 spell, and Mass Charm, for the rest of the games (as it seems there is no Jinx of Confusion spell in later games, and no Mass Charm in earlier ones).--Sega381 06:42, 24 February 2011 (PST)
- I tested it. They work exactly the same. Once the spell is cast, in all games the enemies start tearing each other apart.--Tribun 10:14, 24 February 2011 (PST)
- That means that the LoreQuotes for U6 and up are not very accurate... but I guess that's the way it is. Thanks!--Sega381 14:08, 24 February 2011 (PST)
- Maybe the difference is only conceptual. Maybe in U6 and U7, it actually charms SOME of the enemies in the group, and therefore they start fighting the non-charmed ones. But the end effect is pretty much the same as in Jinx and U5, that is, enemies fighting each other. What happens after the non-charmed ones die, if that is the case, should be different between the games, though.--Sega381 14:19, 24 February 2011 (PST)
