Question: What was the use of replacing the screenshots with exactly the same shots (even same format) just with a new name? I'm really curious what explanation you give.--Tribun (talk) 19:28, 28 June 2013 (UTC)

I was not happy with the names they were given. Why would they call a treasure map or any Maps in Serpent Isle like that? Some people may get confused. Besides, I thought that such names will trigger the spam thing again. If you know what I mean. --Arthgon (talk) 19:51, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
That's what the Move tool at the top of the file page is for. Re-uploading a file just to rename it strikes me as convoluted and unnecessary. All this systematic re-uploading lately has ballooned our Articles for Deletion category to several hundred items; I don't know how involved a task it is for an admin to delete all that, but it's still extra work that could easily be avoided. --Terilem (talk) 03:26, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
That made we wonder as well. Can't remember exactly, but I think we already had this discussion at least once.--Tribun (talk) 07:58, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
I know that the deletion category is extra full, and I am sorry about that. However, as I said before, if you are using the "Move" tool, there is a really great chance that there will be a duplicate of the same file. It's (in my humble opinion) something horrible to look at. You should know that I already tried time to time to make a single file....alas...no. There seems that there is no way to uncheck it. --Arthgon (talk) 09:19, 29 June 2013 (UTC)

I honestly fail to see any use in this. People getting confused over file names? I think you see a problem where there is none. Pictures are either seen in the articles themselves or shown in categorized galleries, so your reasn is pretty void. While I can understand replacing a gif portrait with a png one, simple dislike of naming the files is, in my opinion, no valid reason for mass replacements of pictures.--Tribun (talk) 12:22, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
