Talk:Immortality Contest

In this interview the Devs and Richard say that some of the winners were

"a girl named "Wench" (in the game, of couse)...
a boy and his dog, who both made it in...
a self-proclaimed Hermit...
and even an infant, but their names elude us right now."

I can hazard some guesses but I'm not intimately familiar with Ultima VII enough to feel confident enough to put anything on the article. Anyone able to pinpoint any characters from what was said? Fenyx4 03:04, December 21, 2009 (UTC)

Incomplete or not 20?[edit]

The competition (10 runes and 10 winners from a write in) suggests there should be 20 total but only 17 are presented. Were only 17 selected (perhaps either some of the runes weren't found or some of the rune winners declined to take part) or are some missing? Also does anyone know if Origin ever said anything to those who only appeared in SI? As it seems those expecting to be in VII may have been surprised by their exclusion, particularly since AFAIK Serpent Isle wasn't even planned at the release of VII. 202.180.86.158 14:12, 10 February 2012 (PST)

Most of these names come from the Ultima VII design docs that Ken has posted over at Aiera. It is very possible this list is still incomplete, though. Dungy 15:52, 10 February 2012 (PST)
