Talk:Easter Eggs and Cultural References

Is there a page yet for what could be called "Real World Ultima Sightings"? I only ask because...er...well...just click.

This is a salon near where I used to live. It's still open, too.

That would be something interesting to have. That link doesn't work though. Upload the picture to the wikia itself, and link to it. Dream Focus 19:05, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

The article currently reads:

  • In Dungeon Covetous, the Avatar meets Malloy and Owings. Both, their looks and their behaviour make it clear, these two are actually Laurel and Hardy! (And what they say it REALLY funny)
Now you have me wondering. What exactly did they say? If anyone knows, please list it in the article. Dream Focus 19:05, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

Misspelling of Warren Beatty[edit]

I misspelled Warren Beatty as "Waren Beatty" because Notable Ultima did. If anyone can confirm or deny that this misspelling actually occurs in the U2 dialogue, please do.

And now I see it's been changed. Does that mean that Notable Ultima got it wrong? AngusM 05:07, July 26, 2010 (UTC)
Sorry, no confirmation. I was just adding the link and noted the misspelling, not noting the note here on the talk page.--Sega381 12:30, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

The name could stand improvement[edit]

I always thought "real-life" as being a rather adolescent way of expressing "something not in a specified fictional context". After all, there's mention of Kilrathi on this page. Who thinks that Kilrathi come from real-life? I recommend "out-world" or "out-game". AngusM 18:24, May 6, 2010 (UTC)

It could simply be shortened to "References and Easter Eggs" or alternatively, "Humorous References and Easter Eggs." Still accurate, but broadens the meaning to accommodate what you're talking about. --Terilem 19:00, May 7, 2010 (UTC)
How about "Easter Eggs, Humor, and other References?" Since newcomers are probably somewhat more likely to search for "easter eggs" than the other parts of the name, this would make the page title pop up fairly quickly. --Polygoncount 23:40, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
Hey, that's not a bad idea at all... --Terilem 03:03, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
So, it seems this discussion still hasn't concluded and the only other participants apparently aren't around these days, but I was thinking the name could be simplified even further to "Easter Eggs and Cultural References." I'm thinking "Humor" already falls under "Easter Eggs," so that's about as concise as I can come up with while still encompassing all the article's content. --Terilem 10:01, 18 March 2012 (PDT)

Now that we seem to have moderately lively community again, could we make a decision on this? My vote, as stated above, is for "Easter Eggs and Cultural References." --Terilem 02:14, 5 December 2012 (PST)

I'm also in favor of "Easter Eggs and Cultural References." -- Fenyx4 06:42, 5 December 2012 (PST)

I agree with the new name too. --Time Lord 02:41, 6 December 2012 (PST)

Someone Had to do it...[edit]

I thank you Terilem from the bottom of my heart for taking one for the team. I would give you a medal if I could. -- Fenyx4 10:15, 11 July 2012 (PDT)

You're welcome. Never let it be said that I'm not dedicated to this wiki, but I feel just a little dirty now. -_- --Terilem 21:29, 11 July 2012 (PDT)
