The Core looks like a black cylinder, roughly as big as half a man.

Perhaps you've never looked at it carefully enough. It's actually a black sphere resting on top of a black cylinder. It's unclear whether the cylinder is part of the Core or whether it's just a pedestal upon which the Core sits. --75.63.48.18 20:54, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Sorry to disappoint you, but since the Avatar has to place the talismans ON the core, it can't be a sphere. They would fall down. Your eyes played a trick on you. The sphere you saw is simply the top of the cylinder. --Tribun 22:02, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
