Talk:Combat themes
Editorial comments[edit]
I found this article to be way editorialized, so I removed a lot of the editorial comments. I've made editorial comments about music as well, but I felt they were very very safe. I think if there are any such opinions to be given about music, they should come from the horse's mouth (i.e. the composer, or Richard Garriott) or perhaps someone who really knows music (and Ultima) AngusM 21:08, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
Track names[edit]
Something else, does anyone know where the names to tracks come from? I'm guessing that they rarely come from OSI, but are the names given to the files of the guys who rip them or create their MIDIs. Stones is named in the documentation, and out-world tracks like Rule, Britannia and Flight of the Bumblebee clearly get their names from elsewhere. As for the others, it's possible that in some cases crude names for the tracks were taken from binaries in the game code, but I think it likely that it was folk outside of OSI who named many of these. Now where a name like "Audchar Gargl Zenmur" came from, is harder to imagine. AngusM 21:26, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
- The titles that aren't obviously arbitrary names like "Combat" or "Dungeon" come from legitimate sources, such as the Ultima VI manual, Ultima VII credits and the official Origin Soundtracks. I've been correcting music titles when necessary if a proper name is available and not being used here. --Terilem 10:25, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
