Talk:Cheating in Ultima VII

It is a bit strange, but it does not work at the sudden at this moment. If I write ultima ABCD[Alt]255, it will say illegal command: ultima. IF I write ultima7 ABCD[Alt]255 and Journey Onwards it will bring me back to Dos and says: @0vr=%uK, Line 36. What is going on? --Arthgon (talk) 06:32, 23 March 2013 (PDT)

Did you use the 255 on the numeric keypad? You have to enable NumLock, hold Alt and type the numbers 2, 5 and 5 which should create a character you can't see. This works in DosBox, I tested it. It must be ultima7 ABCD[Alt]255[on numeric keypad wit numlock on].--Tribun (talk) 06:40, 23 March 2013 (PDT)

I have Numlock on, wrote ultima 7 ABCD press alt + 255 (on the numeric keypad) and....nothing. It does give a character (everytime it is different one, though) behind ABCD:

Strange, there should be nothing. Just to clarify, the + sign was not typed by you?--Tribun (talk) 07:04, 23 March 2013 (PDT)

No. It just appeared afterwards. --Arthgon (talk) 07:18, 23 March 2013 (PDT)

Hm, did you turn on NumLock before starting DosBox or after?--Tribun (talk) 07:45, 23 March 2013 (PDT)
I think I did that afterwards, but I will try before starting Dosbox now at this moment. Edit: Nope. Still nothing.--Arthgon (talk) 07:53, 23 March 2013 (PDT)
That's really, really strange. I tested it again and it works perfectly. I turned on NumLock before starting DosBox, typed in the commands and the Alt-order created an empty space (as it should). Then it worked. What kind of system are you using and is DosBox using a different key layout?--Tribun (talk) 11:29, 23 March 2013 (PDT)
I am using XP. Key layout? You mean that the keyboard commands are the same? --Arthgon (talk) 11:40, 23 March 2013 (PDT)
Oh..I am using the numeric keypad and...it did work. Ooops. Sorry about that. --Arthgon (talk) 13:21, 29 November 2015 (UTC)

Awesome! Thank you Lavacopter! Say, are you still having problems with account creation? I recently updated the wiki software and I was hoping that would help. -- Fenyx4 12:46, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
Works fine, I just hadn't thought to try. Thanks for changing it! :) --Lavacopter (talk) 09:33, 2 December 2015 (UTC)
Okay. Thanks. Just wondering something; Range as in Reach, right? Oh. Shall I also write down the MP: Mana/Magic Points of the NPC's in their stats?
Sorta. Reach is the base range, if they have a weapon equipped it will display the weapon's range. Also, I took a look at U8 to see if that would help me decipher anything, and I'd like to amend "Footprint" to "Footpad" --Lavacopter (talk) 23:46, 4 December 2015 (UTC)

Is it okay that I also put Range and Hit Points in the stats of the NPCs? Oh. For some reason Caladin has some experiences points as well.--Arthgon (talk) 13:53, 6 December 2015 (UTC)

Teleportation Cheat Effect on Game[edit]

Okay. When I was using the Teleportation cheat to check some stats I left the front door of Serpent's Fang. As I started the game again (with the cheat on and I have not save the game or anything) I came to the discovery that the front door was open? So, the question is; if I talk or go to those at those places, etc. when I have used the teleportation cheat? (Sorry If I am a bit unclear) or will there be no consequences? Has anyone seen the same thing?--Arthgon (talk) 21:38, 6 December 2015 (UTC)
