Are we sure that Capatain Johne and Captain John are the same person? I might be missing something, but I don't think there is any kind of confirmation it is the case in U6 and there is the different spelling...

I'd say there's little doubt they're the same person. His dialogue in U6 suggests previous acquaintance with the Avatar, and there's also this line from the Hythloth section in the U6 clue book:

I did see a hut down there, which could be where Captain John is staying these days. He'd have to be crazy, though.

Which game was which? It'd be nice to mention the change between games in the article. I'd say it is more likely that they just decided to change the name rather than a typo. But I doubt we have any proof either way. -- Fenyx4 20:31, 23 December 2010 (PST)

He was Johne in Ultima V and John in Ultima VI. I also doubt it was a typo; since he's the counterpart of John Miles, maybe they just decided to revert to the normal spelling in U6. --Terilem 20:40, 23 December 2010 (PST)
