Talk:Ambrosia (U9)
Renaming article and trivia bits[edit]
I know I'm annoying with Ultima IX :P
But first this page should be called Ambrosia_(U9) or something similar, because it *is* the canon name of the underwater city wheter we like it or not. The city has no relation to the lost isle of Ambrosia true, but it is stated as such in the lore of the manual where it is written that Ambrosia was destroyed during the Cataclysme and the Gargoyles merely named the city after it. Hence there is no point in the first trivia.
The second trivia feels a tad too opiniated - if you stick with the game story there is actually no reason for the Gargoyle succumbing to Chaos since the premise is that the Columns are "radiating" Anti-Virtue depending on their Glyph and the shrine they are associated with. Since Ambrosia is close to both - it does make sense within the game's context that they fall to Pride (just like say if Astaroth was there they'd fall to hatred and not some Gargoyle anti-virtue). --Sergorn 19:24, July 22, 2010 (UTC)
- I agree. Please go on and see how you can improve both points.--Sega381 20:19, July 22, 2010 (UTC)
- I'll an go and edit the text and remove the trivia bits - they'd deserve more their place on inconsistencies pages than here --Sergorn 20:46, July 22, 2010 (UTC)
- Since as far as I know I'm the origin of that particular trivia, please do remove it. I nitpicked it out of a general dissatisfaction with the way ethics and morality were handled in U9 but within it's constraints it is easily explainable. Did that many people take me seriously about gargoyles not being affect by pride? Artic Blaze Dragon 17:37, 31 October 2010 (PDT)
