Smilodon Hide

The Smilodon Hide is, as the name says, the hide of a smilodon on Eodon.

Description

In Savage Empire, the Avatar encountered many of these hides and they were almost entirely used for decorative purposes by the various tribes. However, Tuomaxx at Drum Hill explained, that in order to make the Giant Drum, he would need one of these hides. Therefore the Avatar either "borrowed" one, or slew a smilodon in order to skin it with a knife and gain a fresh hide. Once Tuomaxx got the hide, he was able to construct the drum.

A special smilodon hide later appeared in connection with the Jukari Tribe, whose sacred hide had to be recovered from a cave cut off by a lava stream, in order to gain their support in the upcoming battle against the Myrmidex.

Trivia

• These things are really common, so killing a smilodon for its hide is basically only needed if one wants a little challenge.
