Slim is an animate skeleton who haunts the ruins of Magincia during Ultima IV
Description[edit]
Slim would tell the Stranger it had valued itself too greatly, and that its terrible Pride had been its downfall. Interested in the hero's own sense of hubris, the skinny skeleton would ask if the Stranger was always humble, and would warn to never take pride in one's own Humility lest it be destroyed.[1]
Slim's remains were eventually laid to rest upon the fallen city's resettlement, commemorated with a wooden cross in New Magincia's cemetery in Ultima V.
Trivia[edit]
- Answering Slim's question "Art thou always humble?" affirmatively will cost the player five points of Humility. Answering it negatively will result in a gain of five points of Humility.
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (Japanese original), Slim can be identified with the skeleton in the same location. This character was removed in the English localization.
