Shentis is a rotund tinker living in Minoc during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
Shentis acted as a town greeter, welcoming the Stranger to the City of Sacrifice. He would extol Minoc's patron virtue, if asked and would encourage the hero on the path toward Avatarhood.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- In a document discovered by historians Robert DeMain and Carlotta Stein which purports to be the Avatar's personal diary, Shentis' adiposity leaves a mark in the hero's memory, and of particular note is how his belly would constantly undulate while he spoke.[2]
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (where most character names were omitted and dialogue was significantly modified), Shentis can be identified with tinker the in the same location, who similarly welcomes the Companions in town.[3]
