This article is about a character from Ultima VII. For a character from Ultima V, see Sir Sean.
Description[edit]
Sean was an arrogant and self-important man who styled himself as the finest of jewelers, boasting that he made more money than the Royal Mint. Like many artisans and merchants who joined the ranks of the Fellowship, Sean reported an increase in profits after coming into the fold – although this upturn likely was impacted by his decision to move his business to Britain that he might be closer to the organization's main branch. Due to the demand for precious materials which fueled his trade, Sean would pay a sum of thirty gold pieces for each gem which the Avatar brought him.[1]
Lore[edit]
“ | Also, Sean buys gems at around 30 gold apiece, should the Avatar prefer to earn money by selling old jewelry. – from Key to the Black Gate (Ultima VII)

Trivia[edit]
- If the Avatar attempts to sell the gem containing Arcadion to Sean, he will refuse to buy it, recoiling as he claims the artifact to be "small and dark as the heart of an unholy Liche!" Should the hero attempt to barter the gem before the daemon inhabits it, Sean will dismiss it as a worthless bauble.[1]
- Sean buys gems for 30gp, but sells them – without visible alteration – at 75gp (250% of the buying price).
