Prektesh is the Agrarian of Hellas, who worked hard on regrowing his people's bodies.
Description[edit]
The Avatar met him in the Dream World representation of Hellas during Martian Dreams, where he told the Avatar his theories about regrowing the bodies of his people, believing that the bacterial plague unleashed by Raxachk, the Agrarian of Argyre, should have long since dissipated. He explained the details of the body transfer to the Avatar, including the importance of placing a Martian body grown in sterile soil on the Dream Machine. Prektesh offered himself as the first test subject for the transfer, despite Chsheket's protests, believing as Agrarian he must lead the grove, regardless the danger.[1]
After the transfer, it initially appeared the procedure had been a success, with a healthy Prektesh reborn in the empty Martian shell. Thrilled by this, Prektesh intended to immediately go about restoring his race to their plant bodies, until the husk he inhabited began to wither from the effects of the plague. It was then the Agrarian realized that Raxachk's plague had not disappeared, but had instead lain dormant within the Martian soil, waiting to destroy any new Martian bodies. As he lay dying, Prektesh begged the Avatar to find an alternative solution to this problem, telling the hero to bring his body to Tekapesh of Elysium, to win their leaders trust and assistance in creating the new mechanical bodies designed by Xaktsesh's podmate, Kaxishek.[2]
