Plashef is the Cultivator of Hellas on the planet Mars, responsible for the tending of seedlings from planting until their birth.

Like the other Martians, he fled into the Dream-World when Raxachk's plague started to kill them all. When the Avatar met him during Martian Dreams, he told the hero how he had hidden away seedlings for the growth of new bodies after the plague had passed. Plashef also explained parts of the procedure for the growth of the seeds to the Avatar, stressing the necessity of the correct use of fertilizer, soil, and water.[1]
Unfortunately, by then the plague had poisoned the soil as well, thus Plashef's plan to grow new Martian bodies failed. He finally returned to the real world in a robotronic body after Raxachk was defeated, and is probably still living on Earth.
