Palamar is an elderly wizard living at the Lycaeum during Ultima IV. His role there is head of the Observatory, which has a telescope which the Stranger can use to gain insight into Britannia’s geography.

Old and ailing, Palamar nevertheless proclaimed that he had much to show as the head Britannia’s Observatory. Should the Stranger speak with him, the aged astronomer would direct the hero to the great telescope, indicating that it can be used by searching near the end of it.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (where most character names were omitted and dialogue was significantly modified), Palamar can be identified as the druid in the same room, who gives the same information.[2]
