Nigel is a noble mage living in the Lycaeum during the time of Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
A polite magician, Nigel specialized in life magic, having perfected the spell known as Recall. His gravely injured apprentice, Shazom, could inform the Stranger of his master's course of study, fearful that he might soon have need of such an enchantment. Should the hero thereafter ask Nigel about such magics, the mage would impart the ingredients needed to cast them: ash, ginseng, garlic, silk, bloodmoss, and mandrake.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV, Nigel styles himself as the best of all of the realm's wizards, and is reluctant to reveal the entire list of the "Life" spell's components. He does, however, mention that the final ingredient may be found with Marina of Empath Abbey.[2]
