Mole is a gravedigger on the Graveyard at Empath Abbey in Ultima VI.
Description[edit]
The Avatar discovered Mole to be a simple straight forward man whose expertise did not run beyond the realm of dirt. Mole bragged that he was an expert on all manners of dirt, and that he learned his trade from his father. He worked for Glen D'Arc digging graves, and if approached with a body, stated that he only dug holes but did not perform funerals.
Mole told the Avatar that he was unable to keep up with Glen D'Arc's demands for digging graves because his shovel had broken, and Glen had failed to supply the equipment funds to buy new equipment. With the help of the Avatar, Mole got a new shovel and was able to do his job properly.[1]
The Ultima 6 Project[edit]

In The Ultima 6 Project the problem with Mole was solved in a slightly different manner. After the matter of Mole's money was solved by reminding Glen of it, Glen gave the Avatar the key to his chest where he was storing items from bodies, including that from a dead wizard. When searching the chest, the Avatar could also find a high-class shovel, which could be given to Mole to solve his problems as well.
