Mentor is a shepherd staying in Britain during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
A wise man, Mentor was one of many shepherds who managed to escape Magincia before its destruction and had found lodging at Britannia Manor. He would describe its fall at the hands of the daemon horde if asked, and would admonish the Stranger to avoid the sin of pride, explaining that it existed without Truth, Love or Courage.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- In the alleged journal of the Avatar discovered by historians Robert de Main and Carlotta Stein, the hero mentions lying to Mentor when entering his room (claiming to have mistaken it as the Avatar's) and feeling grieved by it. In their conversation, Mentor hints that sojourning to the ruins of fallen Magincia may be in the Stranger's interests.[2]
