Kyan is a young mage apprentice at the Lycaeum in The Ultima 6 Project.

A young boy of ten, Kyan was proud to be studying magic at Britannia's centre of higher learning. He told the hero that great mages were often born, not made, but still they had to study to learn the proper way to prepare reagents, and the pronunciation of the lingua magica. He found grinding black pearl for kinetic spells to be tiresome, but it was an important part of preparing many of the more power magics. The young student had also memorized all twenty-six Words of Power, and would quickly recite them to the hero.
Kyan remarked that he had not yet mastered the higher circles of magic, but finding retailers for the first to seventh circles was usually quite easy. The secrets of the eighth circle were carefully guarded by the mages at the Lycaeum, and suggested Xiao might be able to help the hero if proven worthy.
