Korianous was the master builder chosen by Sir Cabirus to remodel the Abyss into a colony. However, he died before the events of Ultima Underworld, even before the death of Sir Cabirus.
Description[edit]
It was under the planning and orders of Korianous that the work crews altered the insides of the Abyss to serve as a functioning colony. The highest paises were sung about him, as witnessed by a plaque next the the entrance of the grand staircase, which connected all levels of the colony. However, his work was cut short when a falling stone block killed him before even the death of Sir Cabirus. His works were left to rot once the colony fell apart, the grand staircase becoming almost entirely impassable.
The Avatar found his grave on the first level of the Abyss. It was protected from looting by a complicated platform puzzle, which the Avatar managed to solve.
