Issik was the creator of the maze at Serpent's Fang.

He did start work on the maze even before the war, intended as a challenge to warriors of Order, but after the War of Imbalance broke out, he had to finish it in three months as a safe place to store Order treasures. To his misfortune, however, he got lost in his own maze after completion, and died from starvation. Order at first had tried to find him, but after losing three warriors in the maze, they sealed it off, writing him off as a loss.
The Avatar did find his body when mastering the maze during the quest of the Silver Seed, in Ultima VII Part Two, finding the Helm of Light on his corpse.
