Ginwoo

The Ginwoo is a completely useless piece of equipment found in Ultima IX.

Description

The Avatar met the shady businessman Jonah on Buccaneer's Den, who offered "a product that makes you rich, smart, healthy, and attractive, that draws friends and adventures, that gives special powers of entrancement and that can make you the envy of all around you!" for half of the gold the Avatar carried at the moment. However, actually buying it wasn't worth the investment, as the small, dagger-like weapon was totally useless and couldn't be even equipped. Should the Avatar buy it anyway, the hero in return would give off interesting comments each time he tries to use the Ginwoo.

Trivia

• This is a play at the real-life Ginsu knives. The way Jonah advertises it is also a spoof of the way the knives were advertised.
• Of course, buying it when the Avatar is next to broke saves a lot of money, as the price is always half of the current gold.
