Draconian is an old druid living in Cove during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
Draconian could be found near the Temple of the Virtues. He claimed that his lot was to instruct others as to the relations between the Three Principles of Truth, Love and Courage, and he would tell the Stranger that there were eight possible ways to combine the Principles, and that these combinations formed the Eight Virtues.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (where most character names were omitted and dialogue was significantly modified), Draconian can be identified with the druid in the nearby location, who gives the same information.[2]
- The word "draconian" comes from the name of Draco, the first legislator of Athens who replaced the traditional oral laws of the age with the city-state's first written legal code.
