Bulbous is a fat skeleton who could be found amidst the ruins of Magincia during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
Seemingly unaware it was no longer among the living, Bulbous continued on as though it was still in the midst of running its shop. Should the Stranger show any interest in the rations the bone merchant claimed to offer, it would grow puzzled, realizing its stock had spoiled, but would quickly claim it expected a new shipment any day.[1]
With the resettlement of New Magincia three years prior to the events of Ultima V, Bulbous' animated remains were laid to rest and commemorated with a gravestone the returned Avatar could find in the village's cemetery while questing to vanquish the sinister Shadowlords.

NES remake.
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (where most character names were omitted and dialogue was significantly modified), Bulbous can be identified with the skeleton in the same location, who gives the same information.[2]
