The crystal splinter is an artifact appearing in Ultima Underworld

Description

It was given to the Avatar by Kallistan on the seventh level of the Abyss, after giving the password of Goldthirst: "Deco Morono". With the splinter in possession, it was possible for the Avatar to enter the crypts, building shortcuts through the seventh level that made crossing it much easier. As Kallistan speculated, the evil lurking in the tombs probably had left it around to be found as a lure, but held no chance against the hero of virtue.
