Lord Thibris is the aged ruler of Killorn Keep. He appears in Ultima Underworld II.
Description[edit]
In the distant past, Thibris gained rank and glory in the Guardian's service during the campaign against Praecor Loth on Rhiannon, and was the leader of forces which drove the warrior-king's armies to their deaths. Granted a title and stationed at the lonely Killorn Keep, Thibris spent his old age overlooking the nomads of the Krain desert, and spent the majority of his days recounting the glory of his past battles.
Should the Avatar speak to the former warrior, Thibris would be glad of fresh ears to hear of his achievements, and would tell the hero many tales of Praecor Loth, his fantastical tombs, and the legendary horn that rested there - in addition to relating the loss of the great standard of Killorn. Outside of his stories, however, the solitary Thibris had seemingly little to do with the day to day affairs of his castle, and much of Killorn's staff appeared to answer to Mystell or Relk rather than the hoary monarch.[1]
Lore[edit]
“ | Lord Thibris, though an impressive figure, is only nominally in power here - there is little administrative work to be done. Thibris' real talent is to play the hoary old monarch, cowing the desert's nomads and boasting of his past triumphs in the Guardian's campaigns. These make interesting hearing, if thou'rt willing to endure his boorish company. |

Trivia[edit]
- Lord Thibris is another of Richard Garriott's in-game counterparts, and his name is an anagram of his Britannian opposite, Lord British. Both monarchs use the very same photograph of Garriott as the basis of their respective character portraits in this title, as does Shamino in Ultima VII Part Two.
