X is a strange person living in Jhelom during Ultima IV.

X would tell the Stranger that he was seeking the red stone and informed the hero that it needed to be used in one of the altar rooms to obtain a portion of the Key of Three Parts.[1]
Trivia[edit]
NES remake.
- X asks if the Stranger is an Avatar. A humble answer to the question will increase the Stranger's Humility by 5 points, a proud answer will decrease it, even if the hero is really an eight-parts Avatar.
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (where most character names were omitted and dialogue was significantly modified), X can be identified with the fighter in the locked room at the inn, who gives the same information.[2]
